1. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using EatSen, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use EatSen for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to agree to these terms under the law that applies to you. Where parental or guardian consent is required, you may use EatSen only with that consent. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, linked sign-in method and EatSen session, and for activity under your account.
EatSen may begin with a technical account and allow you to secure it later through a supported identity provider. Do not attempt to access another person’s account or circumvent authentication, subscription or usage controls.
3. The EatSen service
EatSen helps you collect, structure and cook from recipes, including recipes derived from supported social links, photos or manual entry. Features, supported sources and availability may change. Some functionality requires EatSen Premium, network access, a compatible device or third-party services.
4. Automated recipe extraction
Recipe extraction uses automated systems and may be incomplete, unavailable or inaccurate. A source may not contain enough information to create a usable recipe. EatSen does not guarantee that every link, image, language, quantity, conversion, ingredient, allergen, temperature or instruction will be captured correctly.
You must review extracted recipes against the original source and use your own judgment before cooking. EatSen may reject or mark incomplete a result that does not contain meaningful ingredients and preparation directions.
5. Food safety and health
EatSen is an organization and cooking tool, not medical, nutritional, allergy or professional food-safety advice. You are responsible for checking ingredients, labels, cross-contamination risks, dietary suitability, safe handling, storage, cooking temperatures and doneness. Do not rely on EatSen in an emergency. Seek qualified guidance when health or safety is at issue.
6. Your content and source rights
You retain rights you hold in content you create and submit. You give EatSen a limited permission to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and ask EatSen to process it.
Recipes, videos, images, creator names and platform content may belong to their original creators or platforms. EatSen does not grant you ownership of third-party content. Use, share and reproduce source material only as permitted by applicable law and the source platform’s terms.
7. Friends and acceptable use
Social features should be used respectfully. You may not harass others, impersonate people, upload unlawful or harmful content, scrape the service, interfere with security, overload infrastructure, reverse engineer restricted elements, distribute malware, automate unauthorized access, or use EatSen to violate another person’s rights.
We may restrict or remove content, access or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse or enforce these terms.
8. Premium subscriptions, billing and restoration
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat entitlement services. Prices, billing periods, trials, taxes, renewal and cancellation are shown by the relevant store before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account settings before renewal.
Refunds are handled under the applicable store’s policies. Use Restore Purchases in EatSen to resynchronize an eligible purchase. Deleting the app or an EatSen account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
9. Advertising and third-party services
The free version may display advertising. EatSen also depends on third-party platforms and services for authentication, purchases, subscriptions, recipe processing, analytics, advertising and source access. Their services, terms and availability are outside EatSen’s control. Links to third-party content do not imply endorsement.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep EatSen reliable but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability. We may maintain, modify, add, limit or discontinue features. We may also impose reasonable limits to protect service quality, control abuse or reflect third-party constraints.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, EatSen is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, EatSen and those involved in operating it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, loss of data, lost profits, or harm resulting from reliance on extracted recipe content, third-party services or user-submitted material. Any liability that cannot be excluded remains limited only to the extent the law permits. This section does not limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using EatSen at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security risks, fraud, unlawful use, or where required to protect the service or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The current version and update date will be posted here. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of consent.
15. General
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms do not create employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationships. Applicable mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
