Mix the plain flour, sweet paprika, salt and black pepper well in a shallow plate.
Whisk the eggs in a second bowl with a fork.
Mix the panko with garlic powder and onion powder in a third shallow plate.
Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour first, shake off any excess, then dip in the beaten egg and finally press the panko firmly all over.
Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C and let it run for 3 minutes.
Place the breaded nuggets in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray evenly with cooking oil.
Cook the nuggets at 200 °C for 5 minutes.
Turn the nuggets with tongs so they brown evenly.
Cook for a further 5 minutes at 200 °C until the nuggets are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 74 °C).
Remove the finished nuggets and let them rest briefly on a plate. Cook any remaining nuggets in a second batch in the same way.
