Classic American chicken tenders with a buttermilk marinade and a crispy panko coating, gently cooked in the air fryer. The chicken breast strips are marinated in buttermilk, then coated in flour, beaten egg and seasoned panko, and cooked at a high temperature until golden and crisp.

Combine the chicken breast strips with the buttermilk and 0,5 tsp salt in a bowl, cover and marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Prepare three shallow plates: mix the flour with 1 tsp paprika, garlic powder and 0,5 tsp salt; beat the eggs on one plate; combine the panko with 1 tsp paprika, 0,5 tsp salt and pepper.
Take the chicken strips out of the buttermilk one at a time, first coat in the seasoned flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the panko breadcrumbs. Press the coating on lightly.
Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Place half of the breaded chicken strips in a single layer in the basket and spray the tops with oil. Cook for 12 minutes at 200 °C, turning carefully after 6 minutes.
Remove the first batch and cook the second batch in the same way at 200 °C for 12 minutes, turning after 6 minutes.
Let the chicken tenders rest for 2 minutes and serve hot.
