Stir the lukewarm milk with the yeast and 1 tsp sugar from the dough portion and let stand for 10 minutes, until the mixture foams slightly.
Place the flour, remaining sugar, salt, egg, softened butter, and yeast-milk mixture in a bowl and knead with the dough hooks of a hand mixer or by hand until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 45–60 minutes, until it has noticeably increased in size.
Wash the prunes, pat dry, halve them, and remove the pits.
For the streusel, mix the flour and sugar in a bowl, add the cold cubed butter, and rub together with your fingertips to form coarse crumbs.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface and place it on the baking sheet, pressing up a small border around the edges.
Place the prune halves cut side up, close together, on the dough. Sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon.
Scatter the streusel evenly over the prunes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 35–40 minutes, until the streusel is golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
