Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season with the remaining salt and pepper.
Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C (about 3 minutes).
Dip each piece of fish through the beer batter, let the excess batter drip off briefly, and place the fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overlap.
Lightly spray the fish pieces evenly with oil.
Bake at 200 °C for 8 minutes.
Carefully flip the fish pieces, spray with oil again, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the batter is golden brown and crispy.
